ASEXML Standards
aseXML is a standard developed by Australian energy industries to facilitate the exchange of information between participants of the energy industries using XML. The aseXML Standards Working Group (ASWG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of the aseXML standard.
The ASWG is an energy industry technical group with the objectives of:
- Ensuring the ongoing development of the aseXML standard.
- Adopting a multilateral approach to the development of aseXML with equal regard to the interests of each subscribing energy market, thus promoting convergence in the use of aseXML across different markets.
- Establishing clear review and approval procedures for proposed changes to aseXML.

GUIDELINES
Guidelines for the Development of A Standard for Energy Transactions in XML (aseXML) provide guidance and advice to parties who are designing aseXML documents for use within their industry. The guidelines are available as follows:
SCHEMAS
The aseXML schema consists of a number of individual files that must be combined to form the entire schema. The top level file is aseXML_*.xsd - where * is a specific schema release number - and all other files are incorporated by way of the W3C "include" mechanism in this file. CHANGE PROCESS
Changes to the aseXML Guidelines and aseXML Schemas are initiated and progressed using the aseXML Change Process. The Change Process document and Change Request templates are available as follows:
