Users should protect themselves by installing and implementing their own security checks and systems.

CONFIDENITALITY

Except where expressly agreed by NEMMCO, NEMMCO will not treat any communications or emails sent through this site as confidential and reserves the right to reproduce, transmit, modify and publish (in any form) such communications.

INDEPENDENT CONFIRMATION

NEMMCO strongly advises that all information should be updated and verified with the contact persons specified before taking any action. Unless stated otherwise, the authorised version of all regulatory codes, reports, and other information should be obtained directly from the official printed versions or the relevant agency.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

NEMMCO (or its licensors) are the owner of all copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the contents of this website (including text and images). Users may only use such contents for personal use only and must not in any way or by any means store, reproduce or modify such contents without NEMMCO's express consent.

NATIONAL ELECTRICITY RULES

On 1 July 2005, the new National Electricity Law (“new NEL”) and the National Electricity Rules ("Rules") commenced operation. NEMMCO has made every effort to ensure that the materials on this website reflect the current regulatory regime and refer to the current regulatory instruments, but we cannot guarantee that every reference has been picked up and amended.

In some instances, you will still find references to the National Electricity Code ("Code"). This is because a relevant decision, or document, was created prior to the changes. The transitional arrangements for the new NEL effectively mean that things done under the Code that continue to have some effect, or some contingent effect, will continue to have effect as if made under the Rules. All documents and decisions that post-date the commencement of the Rules will only refer to the Rules.

A reference in any materials on this website to a Code clause includes the corresponding clause of the Rules after they come into effect.
