Dispatch & Pricing Reference Group

This small and focused reference group provides NEMMCO a point of contact with participants when developing proposals to address current and ad-hoc issues relating to bidding, dispatch, pricing and PASA. The reference group will operate under the following guidelines:

• The reference group is not a decision making body. NEMMCO would remain accountable for decisions in accordance with the Rules following due consultation and process.
• Members of the reference group are not accountable for representing their market section in a formal way, although participant discussion is encouraged.
• Reference group meetings do not replace formal consultation with participants. Instead, NEMMCO will use the input from reference group members in developing proposals for wider consultation with all participants. Through this approach, the consultation process should be more efficient as proposals will have been developed in the light of some participant views.
• Expertise may be co-opted onto the reference group as required, depending on the issues being addressed.
• Brief minutes of reference group meetings and material distributed at reference group meetings are available to all participants via reference group members.
