The B2B Procedures Reference Group (BPRG) was established as a reference group under the Information Exchange Committee (IEC), for defining and coordinating the implementation of B2B business processes associated with metering and the retail electricity market.
While commercial decisions about the implementation of these business processes are the responsibility of NEM participant businesses in conjunction with the IEC, the BPRG defines and facilitates the adoption of appropriate practices that deliver national policies and strategies determined in consultation with the industry.
The purpose of the BPRG is to:
- Maintain the B2B Procedures in accordance with the direction of the IEC and the Rules.
- To develop material, including B2B Proposals and B2B Change Packs and recommendations for the IEC.
- Develop and maintain material to support the B2B Procedures including the Participant Build Pack, FAQs, guidelines and other relevant material.
- Establish sub-working/reference groups as necessary within delegated authority to deliver specified outcomes.
