The purpose of this procedure is to provide information related to the use of generic constraints due to transmission network capability. This type of constraint is an operator applied function within the market management system (MMS). This procedure includes the general principles of generic constraint application, constraint formulation detail, and a summary of the information that is published to participants.
This procedure has been formatted as a constraint educational document. The content is not strictly procedural and worked examples have been included to illustrate key points or processes.
