Power System Incident Report : Trip of Wallerawang Power Station generating units on 19 April 2007

The three-phase to earth fault that resulted during the restoration switching of No.10 132/66 kV transformer at Wallerawang substation on Thursday, 19 April 2007 15:39 hrs and subsequent fault on No.1 330/132/33 kV Main Transformer, resulted in tripping of the No.1 Main Transformer and both Wallerawang generating units at Wallerawang Power Station.

This report has been prepared under clause 4.8.15 of the Rules to assess the adequacy of the provision and response of facilities and services and the appropriateness of actions taken to restore or maintain power system security.
