Service Provider Deregistration Procedure

Chapter 7 of the National Electricity Rules details the responsibilities and obligations associated with the establishment and maintenance of a metering installation and the process by which metering data is obtained, processed and transferred to NEMMCO for settlement purposes.

The National Electricity Rules and the service provider Deed of agreement require NEMMCO to have a process for deregistration of a service provider. This procedure is to be utilised in circumstances where a service provider wishes to voluntarily withdraw from the NEM as an accredited service provider or where the service provider is in breach of the National Electricity Rules or the Deed of Agreement.
